When we salvaged this 20s/30s art-deco nightstand, it was in rough shape. While we prefer to keep pieces original, the cracking veneer top was not salvageable. We replaced it with a custom-made hardwood mosaic to match the eclectic styling, and fastened it to the existing waterfall edge. All other woods & veneers are
original to the piece! We sanded every nook & cranny raw & used a natural stain to enhance the collage of exquisite grains. Inside the cupboard, we discovered that the underside actually featured that amazing diamond pattern — we flipped it over & put it on display.
