Despite her classic style, this beat-up 1890s dresser needed an update. We took her from chalky cover-up paint and rickety drawers to modern glitz and stylish function. A muted grey stain subtly highlights her quarter-sawn oak grain. We even gave her a bit of a lift -- she can be a buffet, cabinet, or even a swanky entertainment unit.
Florence features cabinet doors (constructed from original drawer fronts), an adjustable inner shelf, 1920s crystal knobs. We were able to date this piece based off the style and the patent date on the drawer locks.
